Where has the time gone?

I can't believe I will be back to work in 6 days! The past few months has flown by and my little man is going to be 3 months old. He will be starting daycare on the 4th at a great place we found close to where we live. I am so sad about having to leave him all day and will be counting down the hours at work until I can see him again!

Happy Easter!

Ben's first Easter was spent in San Antonio at Gran & Grampy's house.
On Saturday we had our annual Easter picnic with my mom's family. Ben got to spend quality time with all of his aunts, uncles and cousins! We had so much fun.
On Sunday, we got up early to see what the Easter bunny had left us. He also had his first Easter egg hunt with his Aunt Erin and Aunt Courtney. After church, we went to Boerne for lunch at Grandpa Ray's. What a fun weekend!

Ben is growing up so fast He will be 2 months old next week and weighs over 14 pounds!!
Just this past week he has starting smiling and cooing..it is so fun to just put him on the floor and watch him. He is also starting to roll over from his back to his sides. He will be crawling before I know it!

A Day at the Park

The weather has been gorgeous, so we decided to take Ben to the park. I think he had a nice time even though he fell asleep within the first 10 minutes of being there. Someday he will really enjoy it!

It's been a while...

Tyler was in San Angelo this past week for work, so it was just Ben and I. It was a lot of work being by myself but Ben was a good boy for his mommy!

This week, Ben discovered his hands! As you can see in the video below he cannot get enough of them! Be sure to turn up the sound.

Fun Weekend in Abilene

This past weekend we went to Abilene to see Tyler's family and for his sister Robyn's surprise birthday party. This was Ben's first long car ride (3 1/2 hours!) and he did a really good job! He slept for pretty much the entire trip.

Ben got to meet all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and great grandparents. They were so excited to get to see him and hold him! He is getting so spoiled by being held all the time.
It was a special weekend and was so nice for this mom to get out of the house! :)

Growing Boy

This past week Nana stayed with us and was big help!

Ben had his 2 week check-up on Tuesday. He is now 10 pounds and 22 inches!! He had to get another PKU test and I think Nana and I cried more than he did...it was so sad.

Ben will be taking his first out of town trip this weekend to Abilene. He will get to meet all of his cousins.

I have been meaning to start a blog for a while and Ben's arrival is the perfect opportunity!
I will do my best to keep it up to date!

Baby Ben has now been in this world for one week and two days. It has been an absolute joy holding him and getting to know him. Tyler and I are still trying to adjust to lack of sleep but we are loving every minute of parenthood. We have had lots of visitors in the past week which has been great. Every one says that he is very cute baby. His Gran (my mom) stayed with us for the past week and was such a help- I didn't want her to leave. Nana (Tyler's mom) will be with us next week and we are so excited to have her here!

Ben is a growing boy. He is out of newborn diapers and clothes already! Gran and I had to go buy him some new pajamas yesterday. We went to the pediatrician last Friday and everything looked great. Dr. Prochnow called him Super Baby! We will go back next Tuesday for his 2 week check up. It seems like he changes every day. Cannot wait to watch him grow!
